A huge fan of classic cars, Niel came across the Hemmels exhibition stall at the Classic Car Show in the NEC Birmingham back in 2016 while taking his boys on a day out.

Niel explained to us that it'd always been his dream to own a Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda - one of the true Mercedes classics.

It was then Niel discovered that Hemmels could provide him with the opportunity to own a 1968 Mercedes Pagoda in 'better than new' condition, in his own colour choice and with his own personal specifications.

 

No putting up with the typical and not-so-typical problems of a 50 year old classic car and its engine. Instead, it'd be the same 50 year old classic car, but in the finest condition possible and running like a dream. 

 

Coupled with the dedication and passion shown by the team at Hemmels, along with a reputation for building some of the world's finest Mercedes classics, Niel quickly decided that this was far too good to miss out on.

Over the next 12 months, we continued to build our fantastic relationship with Niel, while our team of classical bodyshop pros and mechanical craftsmen created his perfect 280 SL, and in turn, brought his dream to reality.
